Take action

The diversity needs you and your voice

It is very important to take action, also in your backyard – planting rare and old varieties, saving and exchanging seeds as well as knowledge about seeds and supporting advocacy. All of them are “political” actions.

What can I do?

How to make politics on your plate and in your flower pot.

There are many possibilities to support diversity...

...EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE A GARDEN:

Buy regional and seasonal products

You get best regional and seasonal varieties at the local farmers market or as member of a food coop.

Bring diversity on you plate

When cooking, use rare varieties. Invite family and friends and neighbours to dinner and inspire other people to use “old” varieties.

Swap seeds

Swap and give away seeds to neighbours and friends to spread and cultivate them.

…AND IF YOU HAVE A GARDEN OR BALCONY:

Be a diversity gardener

If you have a garden or balcony, let it be a place for growing rare and old varieties. Let it be a diversity-garden!
